There is no escape from regret and guilt and some more regret if as an executive you mess up casting a superhero, is there? So, when the Warner Brothers announced the casting for the next Batman we were all on the confused side a bit.

But if the history and the actor’s dedication to his roles is to be believed, here is why he might be the best Batman that has ever graced our screens.
Well, there is obviously the looks department. Our DC superhero Bruce Wayne stands tall at 6’2 with a muscular built and Pattinson is about 6’1. Apart for the height, there is something very similar about the two in their ways of being. Both can pass of effortlessly the role of being playboy billionaires and be a mysterious, intimidating man the next second.
Pattinson also has over the last decade since he played Edward Cullen in the Twilight Series has grown immensely as an actor. His recent stint in the critically acclaimed movie Lighthouse had people blown away by his acting skills.
Imagine this, someone who has dedicated his life as an actor playing out of the box characters read Director Matt Reeve’s script and agreed to play the role of Batman must mean that script is be really special. (Isn’t that a reason to rejoice DC fans?)
If anyone is still doubting Pattinson’s acting abilities they are highly recommended to go watch Good Life and High Time.
How Did Pattinson Land The Role?
Director Matt Reeves told that the script is focusing on a man in his early 30’s which ruled out Ben Affleck reprising his role as Batman. (We’re not complaining) Nothing about Affleck’s portrayal of the DC Superhero really worked, the film was a dud on the box office and the audiences were incredibly disappointed.
Much to Affleck’s disadvantage he was put right in the DC universe and made to work with what he had. Whereas Pattinson’s role has his solo film to make the mark and have an artistic liberty to the engage with the role as he pleases.
And it took Reeves and his team one look at Pattinson in the Bat Suit after his initial audition of course, to give their nod for the casting. And judging by the pictures that have released we extend our whole-heartedly nods as well.
The Potential That Pattinson Has
In the Last Twelve years, Robert Pattinson is the third person to play the role of Batman. Christian Bale has been highly regarded as one of the best portrayal’s of the Superhero and Vigilante and fans have loved Affleck’s darker most yet-serious version of Batman too. Pattinson though not only has immense acting skills on his side but a noir like approach to the film to help ease of the pressure from him
His dedication, Matt Reeves direction and an amazing script to help Pattinson ease into the role only seems to be promising and that we might also get to see Batman interacting with a lot DCEU superheroes in the coming years. And if are to believe, Pattinson might be on his way to carve a legacy for himself that would mark his triumph over the greatest actor to play Batman yet.
And if you don’t believe us just remember when Heath Ledger was cast as the villain The Joker in The Dark Knight Trilogy fans had went on to heavily oppose this choice. And we all know how that turned out.
